Johna Burke

During a career spanning 22 years, Johna Burke has worked both as a public relations practitioner and a provider of services that are vital to the successful performance of communications professionals. For 11 years, she was associated with U-Haul International, ultimately becoming head of public and investor relations. Ms. Burke joined BurrellesLuce in 2000, as West Coast regional vice president; in 2008 she became a corporate senior vice president and October 2009, was appointed senior vice president-marketing. She is a highly rated speaker who is often invited to talk about best practices in media relations, monitoring, measurement and PR effectiveness. Her written views have appeared in a variety of PR industry outlets and she is a regular contributor to BurrellesLuce Fresh Ideas.

Debbie Friez

As the vice president-major accounts for BurrellesLuce, Debbie Friez oversees relationships with the company’s top clients. She has honed her public relations knowledge through ongoing conversations with clients and active involvement in professional and educational organizations. Ms. Friez served as president of Washington Women in Public Relations in 2010 and serves on the advisory board for the Capital Communicator, the board of directors for the National Capital Chapter of PRSA, the national marketing committee for the Association of Women in Communications, and is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Dan Schaible

As a 27-year veteran of the publishing industry, Daniel Schaible brings this experience to his role in the content management division of BurrellesLuce, where he is responsible for publisher relations. Mr. Schaible serves as the BurrellesLuce representative to the Software & Information Industry Association, where he sits on the Content Division Board of Directors, the Copyright Society the U.S.A., the Newspaper Association of America, the National Newspaper Association, the Association of Magazine Media, the Project Management Institute and the Media Council of the Paley Center for Media, and is a member of the Licensing and Copyright Committee of AMEC.

Tressa Robbins

Tressa Robbins brought 15 years of diversified business, communications, and public relations experience to her role as BurrellesLuce vice president-Media Contacts. She is a frequent contributor to the BurrellesLuce Fresh Ideas blog, and guest contributor to PRSA's blog, comPRehension. Active in public relations and regional business groups, Robbins often speaks at PRSSA regional events across the country on a variety of topics pretaining to social and traditional media strategies and relations, as well as events for PRSA and Bulldog Reporter.
