Chairman and CEO

Robert C. Waggoner is chairman and CEO of BurrellesLuce.  Mr. Waggoner is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, is a former chairman of the Harvard College Visiting Committee, and member of the Harvard Business School Visiting Committee and the Dean’s Council at the Harvard School of Public Health.  A trustee and chairman emeritus of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Waggoner is also a founder and director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and a director of E3, a New Jersey school choice alliance.  He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. form Harvard Business School.

Chief Operating Officer, Sales and Marketing

Jim French is the COO of sales and marketing at BurrellesLuce. Mr. French oversees the sales, service, marketing, and product development activities of the firm, the largest provider of media monitoring and measurement services in the United States. Mr. French previously served as CEO of Luce Press Clippings before the Burrelle’s and Luce merge in 2004.

Chief Operating Officer, Production and IT

Chaz Waggoner is the COO of production and IT at BurrellesLuce, responsible for delivery of media content to the large base of agency, corporate, government and non-profit clients. After earning a bachelor's degree in economics from Southern Methodist University, Mr. Waggoner joined BurrellesLuce full time in 1986. Over his career, he has served in a variety of key management positions. He has managed the company's early-morning news delivery service as well as one of its largest production facilities.

Chief Information Officer

Since joining BurrellesLuce in 1988, Harry Brown has played an important part in the management of existing systems and new initiatives for the company. His experience and knowledge of BurrellesLuce, along with his intuitiveness, has given him complete understanding of all the current IT systems and how they interact to fit the needs of the business and its constituents. Mr. Brown oversees daily IT operations including direct management of IT personnel. Prior to joining BurrellesLuce, Mr. Brown was general manager of Mechanical Automated Test Systems Group for Fairchild Semiconductor Division of Schlumberger.

Cathy Del Colle

Executive Vice President, Client Services

During a 24-year career with BurrellesLuce, Cathy Del Colle has held key positions in sales, administration, and management.   Del Colle joined what was then Burrelle’s in 1987, after having earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing.  She started as a sales associate, specializing in fashion and higher education.  The following year, she was named regional sales manager for the Washington, DC, area.  Del Colle has been directly involved in client services since 1996, when she returned to the company’s headquarters in Livingston, NJ. Immediately prior to taking on her current post, she was vice president-client services.  Del Colle has an extensive working knowledge of PR professionals’ monitoring needs, and has developed a close relationship with many practitioners over the years. When she worked in the nation’s capital, Del Colle sat on the board of Washington Women in Public Relations, which she also served as membership coordinator and, in 1995, as president.  She remains an honorary member of that organization.

Johna Burke

Executive Vice President

During a career spanning 22 years, Johna Burke has worked both as a public relations practitioner and a provider of services that are vital to the successful performance of communications professionals.  For 11 years, starting in 1989, she was associated with U-Haul International, ultimately becoming head of public and investor relations.  Ms. Burke joined BurrellesLuce, in its Phoenix office, in 2000.  She served as West Coast regional vice president, a corporate vice president in 2008 and October 2009, was appointed senior vice president-marketing. Ms. Burke is a highly rated speaker who is often invited to talk about best practices in media relations and monitoring, including the measurement of PR effectiveness; her written views have appeared in a variety of PR industry outlets and she is a regular contributor to Fresh Ideas, the incisive blog produced by BurrellesLuce. Ms. Burke is immediate past chair of the Southern Region of the International Association of Business Communicators and current chair of its Nominations Committee.
